7792 West Sand Lake Rd., Tel.: (888) 702-4427, Season's 52īecause you've probably had more success crushing hot dogs than tee shots, perhaps your golf vacation is in need of a health intervention. Order a glass of wine and relax the bogeys away. Once you get past the fact that it's in a strip mall –sadly, more than a few Orlando bars are – you'll be impressed with Corona's wide selection of cigars, including extremely rare vintage, pre-embargo, pre-Castro Cubans. While the clientele is mostly male, if your foursome is full of cigar aficionados, then Corona Cigar Companyis the best bet in Orlando. Coat and glove rental is included in the $20 cover charge ($15 if you pre-pay online). The signature shot is Penguin Pizz and is taken out of an ice luge. Golfers looking for relief from the heat can cool off at Icebar Orlando, a 27-degrees-Fahrenheit watering hole where the glasses, bar and even the couches are 100-percent ice. In Orlando, manufactured experiences aren't just at Disney and Universal, they're at bars too. It's Orlando's best showcase of people who dress and act like they're at least 10 years younger than they actually are. While a Tiger sighting isn't likely, Blue Martini is still an entertaining bar. Rumor has it golf's biggest star frequented the VIP room at this high-end martini bar at Millennia Mall. Blue MartiniĪre you one of the 3 million golfers who has visited Orlando and wondered where Tiger Woods hangs out? Up until Thanksgiving 2009 when he went into hiding, that answer was Blue Martini, the hippest, coolest, swankiest mall bar in Florida. Here are five can't miss nightlife spots for golfers in Orlando. I heard it gets busy and more of a bar atmosphere at night. If you're traveling to Orlando with family, then Disney and Universal have enough to keep you busy every night, but if you're on a golf trip, then Chef Mickey's Buffet just isn't gonna cut it. So I would consider this place kid friendly if you are traveling with little ones. We also had our 2yo son with us at the time and while we didn`t allow him into the smokey restaurant and bar area he did enjoy some plantain chips outside on the patio with us. However, it does come served in a cool Ashton cigar box and the overall experience was well worth the price. The sandwich was nothing special and a bit pricey, but, we are spoiled since we have had better and cheaper in Cuba. Smoked a cigar outside while enjoying a Cuban sandwich and a few drinks. They also threw some freebies into the bag. The staff is very friendly and will cut and light your cigar for you so that you can smoke while you shop. You may find cheaper cigar prices elsewhere but, we are from Canada so the prices are MUCH cheaper here than at home. There is aisle after aisle of cigars and my husband spent quite a while browsing. Stopped here as a date for me and my husband. The selection always lures me in while I am in town. There are also tables outside and of course a full bar. There is a small bar area, tightly packed high top tables and a very small sofa and chair seating area tucked in a corner. But the ambiance, energy and selection is often worth the trade off for this place. Other cigar bars around the country have clearly invested in this feature. Regardless, the place is lively but needs better ventilation. I appreciate a staff member that is there to talk with and chat knowingly about cigars, and a couple of guys here were once they understood I did in fact know what I was talking about but one in particular ignored me at the counter with over $300 in cigars in front of me to instead chat with a male tourist buying a single Macanudo. However, as a female, I can be viewed by staff at places like this as a cigar rookie or asked if "I am buying them for my boyfriend." That is hardly the case here. They have an excellent selection and prices and a knowledgable staff. A must stop while I am in Central Florida.
