![]() ![]() Me too, is that the integrated audio and some modern sound cards have mediocre sound quality. The real problem probably lies elsewhere since I'm using it just fine with Xaudio2 on mine. It shouldn't be affecting Xenia in any way shape or form. I doubt it'll happen again if Windows borks my sound card again so it'll be a sad day when I either have to replace it to stay current or it dies.Īll that said I highly doubt the soundcard is the source of these problems. When Windows 10 updated and my sound card stopped working back in 2018, I was in a panic but thankfully Creative came through and updated these beyond legacy products to restore functionality. My eq and tone adjustments simply can't be replicated system wide through other sound cards and adapters as the software doesn't exist for it. I get true 5.1 surround, true hardware accelerated directsound with alchemy, and all the old eax games work great. The thing is like 13 years old now and still works amazingly well. I've tried so many different ways of changing audio sources and none of them come close to the quality and customization of my blessed X-Fi.
